Student Learning Profiles
Description
The Student Learning Profile (SLP) provides and
single point of aggregation of system information
and records for individual students and a secure
space where students, teachers and parents to
share information, establish learning strategies
and monitor progress.
Purpose
For an overview of an individual student’s
progress over time and secure communication spaces
between home and school.
The Student Learning Profiles has been piloted
in two schools throughout 2008 and is scheduled
to be implemented further during 2009.

2008

innovative technologies in imaginative ways into
the curriculum to support students and improve
learning outcomes for tomorrow. more
e Admin Tool
A tool called eAdmin has been developed to assist
the ICTC’s with their monitoring responsibilities.
The application provides following functionality:

Internet Usage report –
displays usage by weeks, days, down to individual
user searched sites.

Quota Reports – displays
usage of all “P” drives on your
school's server.

User list – displays
user name, role and status of all accounts
on your school's server.
You can access this tool through Internet
Explorer by typing “eAdmin” in
the address bar. In order to access this application
a user must have NTSchools credentials and
be in the ICTC security group.
The tool is being deployed to all sites over
the next couple of weeks, to see when your
school will receive the application please

NAS Storage Options
A netgear Network Attached Storage (NAS)
is being piloted at Alawa Primary. The device
allows Active Directory integration and security
permission can be set on the data shares using
Active Directory groups. It is envisaged the
extra storage can be used to house files which
are require on temporary basis and assist
with management of large audio visual files.
Backup of the NAS is possible through its
usb port which will require puchase of additional
USB hard disk drive.
